What is CryptX?
Cryptx is a forum for people who actually want to figure stuff out, such as cold cases, cryptids, and other things the news won't touch.
Is this just another conspiracy nut hangout?
Call it what you want, but it's a place for people who bother to check sources. We have numerous confirmed leaks under our belt and plenty of members by now have solved cases before the answers hit the news.
How do I know if a leak is real?
You don't, and neither do we at first. That's why we have threads for accredited material – mods only approve stuff that's been vetted. Everything else is in the general forums where you can argue about it until you're blue in the face.
Why do you guys hate the police?
We don't hate all cops. Sort of. We hate when evidence goes missing, and families never get answers. We hate the way difficult questions get written off for an easy to sell answer. We hate when they would all rather go home than actually do the job they get paid to do.
What's the deal with Spiderface?
While we have to specify Spiderface is not all this forum is about, we still acknowledge it makes up a large percentage of the posts found in Cryptx. Just read the threads, but any "official" story you might find outside of here is a mess when cops refuse to even acknowledge his existence as a real living threat (regardless of what you might think "he" is or isn't.).
Don't ask us to do your homework.
Can I post about my favorite cryptid?
If you have actual sightings, news clippings, or something besides "my friend's cousin saw it", sure. If you're here to write fanfiction, go to the many other sites welcoming ~creative~ people like yourself.
I found a leaked document. How do I share it?
Post it in the one of the open leak boards. If it's obviously fake, you'll get flamed. If it looks legit, a mod might move it to the accredited section after verification. Don't message us asking why your "totally real" FBI file got deleted, because we won't bother to respond.
Why was I banned?
Probably because you posted garbage, argued with the mods, spammed, or think this is the place to troll other users. If you believe we made a mistake, you can appeal. But we're probably not wrong.
Just so you know, we issue IP bans and use additional safeguards to stop banned users from coming back under new accounts. If you're banned, you're done, and can't even register again. There's no easy way around it.
